A team of Aveda artists created bold looks for the A Detacher Fall/Winter 2018 presentation during New York Fashion Week. Aveda handled both hair and makeup, with Aveda Artist Jon Reyman on lead for hair and Aveda Global Artistic Director Janell Geason on lead for makeup.
In fact, Aveda’s hair and makeup teams complemented one another backstage at the show, each sending bold looks down the runway. Reyman created a unique veiled hair look while Geason painted bold statement eyes on the models.
Reyman’s cool, rocker style featured center parts and airy hair finished with Aveda Brilliant Spray-On Shine. Geason created a highly-pigmented eye look using a blend of shades from Aveda’s new Feed My Lips Pure Nourish-mint Lipsticks applied to the lids.
"To achieve a cool, punk look, create a center part, then bend the two front sections of hair away from the face, clip and spray with Aveda Control Force Firm Hold Hair Spray. Once set, remove the clips and use pins to keep the hair in place,” said Reyman.
"For a bold watercolor eye, apply color with your fingertip, sweeping from the eyelid to the brow bone for a blurred effect,” added Geason.
