For its first quarter 2018, Ulta posted a 17.4% increase in net sales to $1.5 billion. In the report, it was noted that consumers are shopping more online as e-commerce sales soared 48% to $154.4 million. Salon sales increased 10.1% to $75.7 million.
“Our first quarter results represent a solid start to 2018, with better than expected sales and earnings growth,” said Ulta CEO Mary Dillon. “This performance reflects our highly differentiated business model that continues to drive healthy retail comparable store sales, excellent new store productivity, and the continued strength of our e-commerce business.”
Brick and mortar is also on the rise at Ulta. The company opened 34 new locations in Q1.
