Here are the absolute must have trends for 2011 from Philip Pelusi of Tela Beauty Organics by Philip Pelusi.Philip says this spring hair has a fluid movement and an irreverent shape, texture and style. He says there is an unconventional fluidity and modern edge to these styles and they require a few special products to create them.

Choppy Layered Cuts
This spring, cuts are textural with a bit of a bend.None are to be worn neat but instead look as if you tousled your fingers thru the cut after it was styled or air dried. They are short but the soft textural nature of these looks give them femininity and a sexy edge.Hair looks air dried and is not blow smooth unless blown smooth and then bent with a flat iron or roughed with a flexible texturizing product. The color for all lengths are mostly solid either deep or medium brunette or double process blonde.A few very slightly lighter pieces can be added around the face (Carey Mulligan) but only if they are a shade or two lighter. They are not to look like highlights just add dimension.

To create this look: Beach Hair from Tela Beauty Organics by Philip Pelusi with certified organic sugar cane granules to create moveable texture, certified organic olive and sweet almond oils for great shine and manageability, and certified organic shea butter to enhance moisturization and just the right amount of hold.Boostfrom Tela Beauty Organicsby Philip Pelusi with Organic Volume Building plant extracts combined with sugar beet derived betaine and plant based fruit acid extracts of bilberry, sugar cane, sugar maple, orange and lemon which infuse and lock essential moisture deeply within the hair fabric, improving strengthtexture and volume.

Ultra Volume
Whether big curled long layers, brushed off the face or an updo, big hair is back. The hair has a dry finish with either loose roller or curling set or an air dried natural texture. No flat ironed looks here.Hair can be worn down with long layers with the hair either in a rumpled natural texture or in smooth Hollywood style glamorous curls. When worn down hair can either be brushed back off the face without a part.Or long hair can be worn with a low side part. This big volume look can also be incorporated as part of the Rolled Updo with the roll being biggie-sized.

Glazed Hair
This look is sleek, shellacked, shiny hair. The interesting thing about this look is that is can be incorporated with any of the other hair style trends for spring.Hair is slicked back straight off the face or off to the side from an extreme side part.It could be worn with one of the choppy layered cuts slicked back or slicked back into a low ponytail with the ends ponytail left dry looking. It can also be worn with a newly popular rolled updos and with long textured hair with it left almost wet looking.

To create this look: Hair Gloss from Tela Beauty Organics by Philip Pelusi with certified organic herbal extracts and with sunflower, coconut, and sweet almond oils supplemented by argan and acai oils to moisturize and create high shine.Just the right amount of control is contributed by certified organic shea butter.

The Rolled Updo
This is most definitely a modern twist on a classic hair style worn by silver screen icons such as Katharine Hepburn and Barbara Stanwyck.Today’s trend is really more of a spin on the Sean Young character in Blade Runner. The idea here is to twist portions of the hair into a roll-like shape. The look can be worn either neat or roughed up.There is a fluid movement of the roll and can be placed around the hairline, over one ear or at the nape. The finish on the hair can be worn slick and sleek or dry and texturized.

The Loose Updo
Close to the Rolled Updo but more of a knot then a roll. This look is very elegant but also very modern. The less perfect the updo the more perfect it is!This look is styled but loose. No tight buns or chignons here. The hair is first air-dried or diffused to create texture, crimped or curled prior to pinning it up.Don’t pin in every crimped piece, let a few of these crimped pieces fall from the knot so they have in a fluid, loose movement.Tela by Philip Pelusi created the softer curled loose updo look for the Lorick Spring 2011 runway show.

In contrast, the idea of combining crimped hair in with an updo is something Philip Pelusi brought to the New York Venexiana Spring 2011 runway show this past fall! This makes the updo modern as well as unique and sexy.

Woven
This spring hair is being woven or braided into all types of interesting ways and incorporated with other trends such as the extreme side part and even glazed hair. Fish tails, headband braids, some looks dry with dry wavy texture pieces sticking out, with others having the braid sleek and slick and the rest of the hair smooth and a matte finish. Headband braids can circle the perimeter of the hair line or just placed going across the top of the head. The braiding looks intricate in that it is not a school girl braid but instead interestingly woven. The weave can look neat and tight or loose with various textured pieces hanging out.

Hot Hues
Hair color for this spring is solid or appears to be solid, rich coppers both light and deep, ultra blondes meaning double process and deep brunettes. There can be the look of dimension but don’t look highlighted.Highlights can and should be added to create dimension but not with an obvious delineation. The ultra double process blonde can be blonde all the way to the scalp but also can look on trend with a bit a dark root. The hair should look glossy and healthy.

Sunkissed Ends
This trend is continuing into spring. Heavy lights looking very deliberately grown out, looks like someone scrunched lightener onto the ends of hair leaving 4- to 6-inch roots, look is always on someone with shoulder length or longer hair. The look is for a deep brunette base with very light multi-toned highlighted ends. These highlights start about 4 to 6 inches from the roots.
Movie stars wearing this trend:Drew Barrymore, Jessica Biel and Rachel Bilson.

To protect these color looks: Color Guard Shampoo and Color Guard Conditioner with powerful organic antioxidants such as reishi mushroom from Tela Beauty Organics by Philip Pelusi helps protect color from fading and strengthens your hair fabric.
