With summer waning, HBA Global Expo is right around the corner. Now in its 16th year, the conference and tradeshow remains the biggest event of its kind in the U.S. and the 2008 edition is expected to attract more than 600 exhibitors and thousands of attendees.
   
HBA Global Expo will be held Sept. 9, 10 and 11 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The event gets underway with a keynote address by Nicholas Perricone, MD, a skin care pioneer who founded a leading company in the dermatologist skin care segment. Dr. Perricone’s address is entitled: “Strategies for Understanding and Reversing The Inflammation-Aging Connection.”
 In addition to the keynote address, HBA will feature an extensive educational program addressing a wide range of marketing, product development and business strategy topics. Programming and event highlights include the Fragrance Business Conference & Trade Show Pavilion, the full-day International Safety, Regulatory, & Certification Summit, a session featuring The New York Times’ first-ever scent critic, a live radio show broadcast hosted by skin care guru Celeste Hilling, as well as two workshops on skin absorption and REACH.

The high-level speakers and session leaders presenting at the technical conference program include: Gurpeet Ahluwalia, Ph.D., senior director dermatology clinical R&D, Allergan; Liliana George, Ph.D., executive director strategic developments, The Estee Lauder Companies; Rupali Kulkarni, director, technology & intelligence, Coty; Daniel Maes, Ph.D., senior VP of R&D, The Estée Lauder Companies; Steve Page, Ph.D., laboratory manager, Procter & Gamble; Eric Perrier, Ph.D., executive VP of R&D, LVMH Parfums et Cosmetiques and Neil Sadick, MD, clinical professor of dermatology, Weill Medical College of Cornell.

The HBA Industry Awards Dinner on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at the Marriott Marquis will honor top marketing, R&D, and packaging professionals and products. 
   
Complementing the educational agenda is an exhibit floor showcasing a full spectrum of products and services, including: private label, contract manufacturing, prestige and mass market packaging components, delivery systems, design houses, raw material and ingredient suppliers, analytical and testing devices, biotechnology processes, nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals, nu-tricosmetics, and senso-cosmetics.
