Sulfate-Free Clear 2-in-1 Shampoo

Phase A
Deionized water

Phase B
Sodium methyl cocoyl taurate
Sodium lauroamphocetate

Phase C
Purethix (Polyether-1)

Phase D
Citric acid (25% solution) (q.s. pH to 5.5 +/- 0.2)

Phase E
Zenigloss Q (Polyquaternium-57)

Heat water in phase A to 75°C in main vessel and apply medium mixing agitation. Add phase B to main vessel and mix while heating to 70-75°C or until all ingredients have been fully incorporated. Remove heat and add phase C once temperature begins to drop. Add phase D between 65-68°C and q.s. pH to 5.5 +/- 0.2 with citric acid (25% solution). The Purethix from phase C will not be completely incorporated at this time and the mixture may appear cloudy. Shampoo will become clear as the mixture cools. At 40°C add phase E and mix well. Adjust pH if necessary to to 5.5 +/- 0.2 with citric acid (25% solution).
