Procedure | |
In a separate container, prepare a 1% solution of SoftCAT SL-5 polymer by sprinkling into agitating, room temperature water. Allow polymer to completely disperse then begin heating slowly to 60-65°C. Solution should be crystal clear. In another beaker combine the ammonium lauryl sulfate, ammonium laureth sulfate, cocamidopropyl betaine and decyl polyglucose. Mix gently until uniform. Add polymer solution to surfactant portion with mixing. Mix until uniform. Next, add one at a time, in order, the glycerin, PEG-120 methyl glucose trioleate (and) propylene glycol (and) water, and sodium chloride. Continue to mix until uniform. At 40°C add preservative and fragrance. Continue mixing until cooled to room temperature. Adjust pH to 5.0-6.0 with citric acid if necessary. | |
