Procedure | |
Use strong mixing, without aeration, throughout. To main vessel add water and propylene glycol, start mixing and add Versene NA. After Versene NA has dissolved, add Trolamine 99 N.F. and heat to 75°C (167°F). Above 60°C (140°F), add CoSept M and CoSept E with mixing. In a separate vessel combine items 7-10 and heat with mixing to 75°C (167°F). When at 75°C (167°F), add PEG-2 stearate and stearic acid to items 7-10, mixing to uniformity. Add items 7–12 to items 1-6 with continuous mixing. When emulsification is complete (particle size is uniform; at least fifteen minutes), with continued mixing cool batch to room temperature and perform final quality assurance checks. | |
