Manage day-to-day production schedule in coordination with Planner.
Manage production personnel in liquid fragrance, botanics, and butter reaction flavor manufacturing.
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
Manage Food Safety Programs on the production floor level. Manage Master Cleaning Schedule.
Member of GMP Audit and Food Safety and Quality Teams. Serve as backup to Plant Manager and Planner.
Demonstrates leadership in areas of safety. Establishes, observes, and enforces safety rules and practices. Ensures compliance to local, state, federal and corporate requirements for safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental protection issues.
Identifies capital needs with emphasis on return and regulatory compliance issues.
Help establish efficient and proactive communication links to internal and external customers.
Promotes a performance-based workforce. Conducts annual performance appraisals with subordinates. Develops appropriate objectives for manufacturing personnel.
Coordinates activities with different department supervisors as needed.
Enforces company policy as it relates to labor requirements, safety, training, and interviewing.
Any other assignments as directed by corporate management.
Desired Skills and Expertise:
Minimum BS in business, laboratory science, or industrial engineering. Minimum 5 years experience as manager in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Experience in chemical, GMP or job shop manufacturing environment required.
