It’s all about Palm Beach for 2009. The Florida leisure destination is the backdrop for the WB’s hit teen television show, Privileged; birthplace of the 50-year-old iconic preppy fashion brand Lilly Pulitzer and home of Tammy Fender, an up-and-coming organic skin care line. This collection of fresh, custom-blended natural formulations based on holistic medicine is now available to the public.
Praised by Vogue as a “miracle worker,” Ms. Fender opened the doors of her atelier in Palm Beach four years ago and has since become legendary for her signature facials and post-op healing treatments. She started formulating creams and salves for her clients and then, due to demand, began custom blending fresh batches for home delivery. Soon, she had celebrities like Julianne Moore, Melania Trump, Alicia Silverstone and Kelly Rutherford singing her praises.
As a result, a five-category skin care collection (Purify, Balance, Nourish, Restore and Replenish) ranging from $60-$130 is now available at www.tammyfender.com. The line features such items as the Intensive Repair Balm ($130), a multi-tasking salve with chamomile and helichrysum that repairs tissue damage and assists in the healing of surgical and acne scars; the Epi-Peel ($80), an all-in-one facial product made from Moroccan rosemary, spearmint and clay; and the Firming Eye Gel ($78), a blend of elder, chamomile, rose hip seed, borage, green myrtle and nettle that restores the delicate skin around the peepers.

All Tammy Fender SKUs combine an array of pure, organic ingredients including natural food supplements with active botanicals and plant butters, according to Ms. Fender. She also uses therapeutic-grade essential oils and her favorites are Bulgarian rose—requiring 7000 petals to produce a single drop—and helichrysum, both prized as powerful cell rejuvenators.
What’s next for this Palm Beach company? According to Ms. Fender, the future will encompass an increased focus on bringing the teachings of holistic health and beauty into the lives of people around the world —“showing that nurturing and healing the body from the inside results in radiant health and beauty on the outside.”
