Kyu Ock notes that the line is currently in more than 500 stores in South Korea, has been exported to 13 different countries, and has experienced an 87% revenue increase in the past five years. He explained the thinking behind the minimalist packaging, noting that silver and black conveyed the authenticity of the brand, which is based on the credibility of the diverse medical professionals who created the line. The brand name, Dr. Jart + was formed by combining the initial “J” from Jung, one of the medical professionals who created the line, with the word “art,” to convey the artistic dimensions of skin care inherit in the collection.
