Cargo Cosmetics has rolled out its new Spring/Summer collection with Hawiianan singer Anuhea.

When the doldrums of winter set in, what better way to hurry the arrival of warmer weather than with a new collection of color products that take their cue from lush lands of Hawaii? Cargo Cosmetics has tapped Hawaiian singer/songwriter Anuhea as the face of its new Spring/Summer collection. The singer came to New York ahead of the launch as Cargo offered editors a sneak peak at the upcoming collection and the chance to listen her songs, such as “Higher Than the Clouds,” in a semiprivate concert.

New offerings are highlighted by Cargo’s new “You Had Me at Aloha” Eye Shadow Palette, a limited edition collection ($34) with 12 shades inspired by the sand, water and lush foliage of Hawaii. The palette has three well-coordinated color quads that help users achieve day and night looks, along with a black eye pencil and dual-ended brush.

To create spring/summer looks that last, Cargo suggests Swimmables Longwear Eye Shadow Sticks, which arelightweight, crease-proof and water-resistant.They can be applied lightly for a sheer wash of color or layered to intensify. The formula has 20 seconds of playtime before it sets for all-day wear. Eight shades are available and each is $20.  Plus, Cargo is offering Swimmables Waterproof Mascara Top Coat ($22), which can transform any mascara to a waterproof formula in seconds. It is said to deliver the texture of a non-waterproof formula with the wear of one that is.

Also new for the eyes is a specially designed curling mascara ($20) with a wand that curls and defines lashes, lifting them up and outward for a fully winged effect. The unique mascara formula that contains polymers that hold curl and will not flake or smudge after application, according to the company, which debuted in 1996 and is currently part of TPR Holdings.
