Value sets and palettes always offer the shopper a bang for her buck.

Holiday 2013

It's not too early to start thinking about Black Friday and Cyber Monday; i.e., the all-important holiday selling season is right around the corner. Holiday 2013 will showcase colorful eye and lip palettes to create a bold look, noted Jenine Pizza, brand manager at Beauty Addicts and DePasquale Lifestyle Brands, Fair Lawn, NJ. “You will also see artistic kits focusing on eye lashes that will add color, shimmer and sparkle for the holiday season,” she added. Here’s a look at the latest color cosmetic offerings that will be a hit for those doing early holiday shopping or want a variety of product in one place.

Sonia Kashuk

Sonia Kashuk Eye Couture in Jewel of an Eye ($19.99) is a palette of 12 different eyeshadows and is sold at Target. Highlight eyes with a wash of jewel-toned color or create a smoky eye with rich shades of eggplant, emerald and wine-colored shadows. Three shimmery neutrals complete the kit.

Shades of Baked

25 Shades of Baked Eye Color Portfolio from Laura Geller ($72.50) is ideal for those who want to experiment with Geller’s Baked eyeshadows. Beauty beginners and makeup pros alike will delight in these 25 shades of neutrals, deep jewel tones and bright pops of color that allow for contouring and unlimited drama, according to the company. Jojoba seed oil helps condition.

Iman's Lip Affair

Iman Cosmetics Lip Affair Palette ($5) offers five bold and dynamic shades of newly reformulated Iman Luxury Lipstick combined in one on-the-go palette. Packaged in a travel-ready mirrored compact with lip brush, it is ideal for all skin tones, said the company.

On the Catwalk...

Taking a cue from creator Anastasia Soare’s supermodel client list, Anastasia Beverly Hills designed the Catwalk Eyeshadow Palette ($29) for a fierce look. The kit features 10 pigment-rich shadows in warm, matte and shimmering neutrals. Key ingredients like brown algae, sea whip extract, and vitamins A, B, C, E and F offer anti-aging benefits; while diamond core powder diffuses light for a soft focus effect, said the company.
