NYC Debut

Best known for selling GUM oral care products, Sunstar America is entering the US skin care market with Equitance, a complete range of skin care products. The company held a coming out party in New York City where editors heard from company officials as well as dermatologist Dr. Anne Chiu and dietician Mitzi Dulan, RD.

Inner Beauty

Designed to be an all-encompassing regimen, Equitance includes a special dietary supplement. It is formulated with eggshell membrane (which contains L-cystine, revered in Japan for its ability to illuminate skin); grape seed extract; yucca wood extract; and hesperidin, a powerful antioxidant that offers skin-soothing properties.

Bright Idea

The brightening cream is fueled by ingredients like stearyl glycyrrhetinate (licorice) and linoleic acid, the latter of which is purified and encapsulated in an exclusive brightening delivery system to target the appearance of dark spots and improve skin brightening and radiance. Other star ingredients: cherry blossom leaf extract, culled from the Japanese sakura tree, and shell ginger extract, derived from the Japanese alpinia speciosa leaf.
