Method and Seventh Generation are some of the more well-known names on the growing list of Certified B Corporations. Here’s a look at some other ‘B Corps’ in the household and personal care industry.
A Certified B Corporation is often described as a for-profit business dedicated to social and environmental issue. These companies are certified by B Lab, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Wayne, PA.
By joining in December 2014, the Brazilian cosmetics firm has become the largest beauty B Corp on the planet. Like every other B Corp (there are more than 1,000 covering 121 different industries), Natura was certified by nonprofit B Lab. The question now is: will other larger firms in beauty follow?
Badger was born in 1995 when contractor Bill Whyte created a solution for his own severely cracked hands (caused by working during the harsh New England winters). Today, this B Corp’s product roster ranges from the balm that started it all to body care to baby care to men’s grooming and more.
