Ciba Introduces Broad Spectrum UV Absorber

Ciba Specialty Chemicals, Basel, Switzer-land, has launched a new broad spectrum UV absorber, Ciba Tinosorb S. This versatile UV filter is classified as a hydroxyphenyltriazine (HPT) and has excellent UVA and UVB protection, photostability and effectiveness, ac-cording to executives. Tinosorb S can be used in day creams, water-resistant sunscreens and high SPF formulations. It can be used in combination with Tinosorb M.
