Ciba Specialty Expands

Switzerland-based Ciba Specialty Chemi-cal introduced Colibri Quick-Match 1.1, Colibri QC 1.0 quality control software and Colibri library services. Company executives said the introductions provide a new color matching solution for inks, paints and plastics.
With the upgraded Colibri Quick-Match 1.1, users can edit the parameters of the system, allowing pigment pre-selection according to application requirements. Users can also maintain color catalogs.
Executives said Colibri Library Services enable users to extend the built-in libraries and build up new libraries based on their own systems.
“This professional package provides a complete and unique solution in color measurement,” said Hermann Angerer, global head of Ciba Specialty Chemicals’ coating effects segment. “It combines an upgraded formulation system, new software for fast quality control and expert services that allow users to take advantage of our know-how in software, colorant manufacturing and application.” More info: Website: www. cibasc.com/colibri.
