MGP’s Omni-Smooth Delivers Natural Skin-Tightening

November 14, 2005

Omni-Smooth, from MGP Ingredients Inc., Atchison, KS, is a unique protein fraction of wheat that is said to demonstrate outstanding skin-tightening and film-forming properties.

Omni-Smooth is extracted from wheat gluten using MGP’s patented process. It is alcohol soluble.

MGP executives said that the ingredient’s efficacy was confirmed at an independent research insitute using Vitro-Skin. Skin tightening was measured using an Instron machine to measure contractile force. a 3% Omni-Smooth emulsion skin cream was compared to a cream that did not contain Omni-Smooth.

The contractile force measurements showed the skin-tightening effect continuing for up to 15 hours after application, MGP executives revealed.

Omni-Smooth comes in a convenient powder form. It can be used for skin care, anti-wrinkle products and shaving products.
