Wacker Silicones Offers New Silicone Waxes

November 15, 2005

Wacker Silicones, Adrian, MI, introduced new silicone waxes: Wacker-Belsil CDM 3526 VP, Wacker-Belsil CM 7026 VP and Wacker-Belsil MM 8030 VP.
The new products are alkyl-modified silicone compounds used primarily in skin care creams, sunscreens and decorative cosmetics. In skin care products, they improve formulation efficiency and impart a soft, non-sticky feel. By forming occlusive films, they also reduce transepidermal water loss from the skin. The waxes offer enhanced water resistance and moisturizing properties in sunscreen products, lipsticks, mascara and foundation formulations. In color cosmetics, they hold pigments in place while improving skin feel. More info: (517) 264-8239; Fax: (517) 264-8175; Website: www.wacker.com.
