Ciba Specialty Launches New Product

November 22, 2005

Switzerland-based Ciba Specialty Chemicals introduced Tinovis GTC, a product that enables the effective thickening of crystal clear gel and cosmetic emulsions. It was specially developed for use in a broad range of hair and skin care gel formulation products. According to the company, tests have shown that Tinovis GTC provides a gel network with excellent flow and suspension properties over a wide pH range (5.5-12.0).
“The trend in cosmetics is for clear gel forms in transparent packaging,” said Catherine Ehrenberger, business line head, home and personal care for Ciba Specialty Chemicals. “Ciba Tinovis GTC helps cosmetic marketers to maximize this trend and meet the consumer’s expectations in terms of appearance, consistency and ease-of-use of the end product.”
