Jeen International, Fairfield, NJ, intro- duced Jeenate, a line of new low-molecular weight, low-melting point linear polyethylene products for the global personal care and cosmetic products. Jeenate products are said to improve the structure and hardness of oils in stick and emulsion formulations.
Jeenate 3H has an average molecular weight of 330 and a melting point of 65°C. Jeenate 3H is ideal for stabilizing emulsions, improving film properties and delivering a soft after-feel to the skin, according to Jeen executives.
Jeenate 4H has an average molecular weight of 440 and is suitable for emulsion stabilization. It also enhances the crystalline structure of cosmetic oils for stick applications. Jeenate 4H reduces oil bleed from silicone systems while delivering a substantive film to the skin.
