Tri-Tex Introduces Alkanolamide Replacement

December 9, 2005

Tri-Tex Co., Quebec, Canada, introduces Tritexaine OC, an efficient amphoteric surfactant that can replace typical formulation usages of alkanolamides specifically with diethanolamine. The clear yellow liquid is water-soluble and easily incorporated, providing excellent viscosity building properties and improving foaming, mildness and conditioning in personal care products, according to company executives. Tritexaine OC is compatible with anionics, cationics and nonionic surfactants. It allows low temperature blending due to its low cloud point. More info: (519) 572-6222; E-mail: sphipps@tritex.com
