Rhodia has enhanced its portfolio of hair and skin conditioning ingredients with the addition of two new polymers. Mirapol PQ-11 is a substantive cationic film-forming polymer that imparts hold, shine and gentle conditioning to the hair. It is recommended for use in water-based hair styling products such as gels and mousses when conditioning is required.
The company also introduced Mirasil C-DML, an easy-to-handle solution of a high molecular weight dimethiconol. The cyclopentasiloxane part rapidly evaporates, while the dimethiconol part remains on the skin or hair, providing an increased substantivity and conditioning effect. In skin care applications, it imparts a smooth, dry feel on the skin and can help improve water-resistance properties and long lasting effect in sun care products. In hair care, it confers antistatic and gloss effects to the hair and leaves it with a soft, silky feel, contributing to improved wet and dry combing. More info: www.rhodia-hpcii.com.
