A recent study published by Croda proves the superior performance benefits of its novel hair-strengthening complex, Keravis, according to Croda executives. Recent trends in hair care show hair strengthening and anti-breakage to part of the performance claims in the product lines of several leading brands. One of the most popular ingredients for supporting this claim is D-Panthenol. In a flexabrasion strength study, Keravis, a protein-silicone copolymer, was compared to D-Panthenol. Results showed a significant improvement in hair strength in hair fibers treated with Keravis when delivered from both a shampoo and conditioner system, versus no real strength benefits provided from the D-Panthenol, according to Croda. Keravis was also able to improve the hair strength with increasing humidity levels, when hair often becomes weaker. More info: E-mail: marketing@crodausa.com.
