Dow Introduces

April 11, 2006

The flexible properties of Tergitol L Series nonionic surfactants make them suitable for use in cleaning products and other applications where defoaming, wetting and emulsifying are desired. The surfactants also pass OECD 301 ready biodegradability screening tests and comply with the biodegradability criteria as defined in the Detergent Regulation (EC) No 648/2004 of the European Parliament and the Council.
According to Dow, Tergitol L Series Surfactants offer excellent solvency, low foam characteristics, and broad compatibility with formulation additives.
Tergitol L Series surfactants available in North America include four biodegradable grades: Tergitol L-61, L-62, L-64 and L-81. A fifth grade, Tergirol L-101, does not comply with the European Detergent Regulation but is an efficient foam control agent in aqueous environments.
