Ross Debuts Vertical

October 4, 2006

The Ross Vertical Blender is ideal for the blending of easily degradable solids. The mixing screw rotates around the periphery of the cone, while simultaneously lifting materials from the bottom to the top of the blender. This dual blending action results in short cycle times, usually less than half of conventional horizontal designs.
Ross Vertical Blenders are ideal for use in blending high-density powders, as less power is required than when using horizontal blenders. The unit also discharges fully and is easily cleaned.
The dryers are available in designs ranging from one to more than 500 cubic feet. A variety of options are available including choppers for size reduction, spray nozzles for minor liquid addition, cleanout doors, numerous materials of construction and sanitary designs.
The company also introduced a new line of cylindrical dryers for the chemical process industries. Internal agitation consists of an improved paddle design, set at opposing angles, to insure that the materials being dried are continuously exposed to the jacketed surface area of the trough and endplates.
Designs are available from 1 through over 500 cu.ft. Other options include choppers for size reduction, spray nozzles, variable speed drives and control systems. More info: 1-800-243-ROSS.
