U.S. Cosmetics Introduces Treated Pigments
U.S. Cosmetics Corporation, Dayville, CT has introduced a series of Lipoaminoacid (LP)-treated pigments for use in color cosmetics. The patented, chemically bonded surface treatment is based on a combination of palmitoyl proline and other amino acids. Powder products made from LP-treated pigments and substrates exhibit excellent spreadability and uniformity compared to other surface-treated materials, as well as very good skin adhesion. Substrates available with the LP treatment include talc, sericite, mica, titanium dioxide and iron oxides. Pressed powders and liquid foundations are the primary product categories that would benefit from the use of the LP series.

Seppic Launches SOS Silhouette Slimming Program
Seppic has launched its SOS silhouette slimming program with an active ingredient duo that acts on adipocytes with adiposlim and adipoless. Adiposlim simultaneously restricts and eliminates the storage of fats in the adipocytes by inhibiting free fatty acid production and stimulating lipolysis, which recycles these free fatty acids into energy.
The product reduces existing cellulite in just a month with visible improvement demonstrated in vivo versus placebo. In terms of efficacy, it is as efficient as caffeine for the lipolytic action but adiposlim is easier to use and offers the advantage of avoiding triglyceride reformation.
Adipoless prevents cellulite formation by blocking the MMP-9 signals that control new adipocyte recruitment through an original anti-adipogenesis mechanism. It uses an innovative anti-angiogenesis mode of action where the formation of new blood vessels are inhibited, which suppresses cell maturation and forces the adipocytes to stay in their dormant, non-operational, non-fat storing form.
Both adiposlim and adipoless are well tolerated by the skin and can be used independently or together for a slimming effect. More info: www.seppic.com.
