EMD Showcases New Colors

June 11, 2007

Two new hues of Ronastar interference color pigments were showed by EMD Chemicals Inc. (EMD) at the NYSCC Suppliers’ Day in New Jersey this past May. Ronastar Blue and Ronastar Copper are two of the latest additions to the color pigments line used to give cosmetic formulations a uniquely attractive interference effect. With a particle size of 10 to 100µm, they distinguish themselves with their higher hiding power and a rather subtle sparkle effect.

Ronastar Copper is suitable for use not only in lipsticks, nail polishes, eyeliners, eyeshadows and personal care products, but also in self-tanning formulations in combination with dihydroxyacetone (DHA), without diminishing the activity of the latter. Ronastar Blue displays an intense blue interference color tone, whose multicolor effect is accentuated by touches of pink glitter.
