HallStar Launches New Personal Care Ingredients

July 12, 2007

The HallStar Company recently introduced a range of personal care ingredients for sun care and skin care products. The new products provide formulators with a broad arsenal of ingredients that improve protection against Ultraviolet A (UVA) rays and increase the effectiveness of other protection products.

“HallStar is committed to providing the right chemistry and positive solutions for our customers,” said Gary Wentworth, vice president, HallStar Innovations. “These new ingredients build on our strong partnerships with formulators and marketers who want to improve performance and differentiate their products in the marketplace.”

“Consumers are increasingly aware of the dangers of exposure to UVA and other factors that increase aging and damage to the skin,” said Craig Bonda, director, research & development, personal care ingredients, HallStar. “We are aggressively pursuing innovative ways to improve protection and utility of suncare, skin care, and cosmetic products.”

HallStar’s recent ingredient introductions in the personal care line include the following: Polycrylene, Spectrasolv DMDA, HallBrite BHB, HallGreen PS, HallGreen PCN and HallGel 305.
