Cognis’ Marajo Scrub Is a Natural Exfoliator

Laboratoires Sérobiologiques, the active ingredients business of Cognis Care Chemicals, recently launched an exotic cosmetic ingredient that enables manufacturers to meet increasing consumer demand for natural source products, combining marketing appeal and demonstrated efficacy.

Marajo Scrub LS 9843 is an exfoliator based on natural clay and ideal for use in a wide range of cosmetic formulations.

The scrub itself is a new micro-exfoliator that gently softens the skin and restores balance and radiance. It is made from a natural clay from the Amazon region of North Brazil. Rich in mineral salts, this exotic kaolin source revitalizes and smoothes the skin.

The raw material conforms to the Ecocert standard for ecological and organic cosmetics. As such, it fits with the trend toward natural well-being and home spa products, while its
exotic origins will also attract interest.

Marajo Scrub is suitable for face and body scrubs, purifying treatments for problem skin, scalp exfoliating treatments for dandruff-prone hair, and bar and liquid soap formulations.
