Micropowders Introduces New Products for 2008

August 6, 2008

Micropowders of Tarrytown, NY recently rolled out an assortment of new ingredients for 2008.

Spectrabead products are permanently colored low-density, high molecular weight polyethylene powders that allow formulators to create unique visual effects, according to the company. They are excellent for use as scrub and exfoliating agents and are non-irritating to the skin. They are also available in an assortment of hues.

Microspersions are unique dispersions of the most popular grades of the company’s finely-micronized waxes in isohexadecane. They allow the formulator to use highly efficient micronized waxes in a pourable “stir in” liquid form. They are designed for ease of incorporation into any part of the formula and optimum performance efficiency.

Synscrub products are designed for use as an economical exfoliating agent and have a spherical particle shape that allows it to gently roll across the skin. Synscrub grades are produced with synthetic wax polymers. These fully saturated, straight chain hydrocarbon waxes are characterized by a high melt point and hardness.
