The Symbiosis Between Nature and Chemistry

Dr. Straetmans GmbH of Hamburg, Germany has developed a new conditioning agent, which combines natural ingredient sourcing with chemical modification for best performance.

Symbioquat is a second-generation liquid conditioning agent that is composed of different chemical species that combine to a product with much better performance, according to the company. By blending two natural polysaccharides of different molecular sizes and different degree of quaternization, the cosmetic profile was significantly improved. Symbioquat excels in foaming, says the company, and features a unique mixture of conditioning agents. It can also be used in a shower gel.
