Clairol and Match.com Team to Offer Insights

Thousands of singles sign up on Match.com every day, creating detailed profiles that include everything from profession and religion to height and hair color. Recently, Clairol Professional partnered with Match.com to discover what hair colors singles prefer for a potential mate.

According to Clairol and Match.com, 35% of U.S. singles said they desire brunettes, 34% chose redheads, 23% chose blondes, 5% preferred bald and 3% said they prefer silver hair.

Results were regional; for example, brunette was popular in Birmingham, AL; New Orleans singles preferred blonde hair and New Yorkers chose brunette, blonde and red hair colors roughly equally.
