Dow Names ChemPoint.com

November 14, 2005

The biocides division of The Dow Chemical
Company apointed ChemPoint.com as its
exclusive e-distributor of Dow’s glutaraldehyde
biocide products in North America.
ChemPoint is a sales and supply chain
channel for small- to medium-size customers
of glutaraldehyde products, including
industrial and EPA-registered uses
under the Ucarcide, Uconex and Ucarsan
names. ChemPoint also represents Dow’s
diocide line, including Dowicide 1, 1E, A,
OBCP and OBCP/IPA.
“We have been extremely impressed
with the results that ChemPoint has generated
for us working with the glutaraldehyde
lines,” said Jerry Konst, marketing manager,
North America. “In addition to delivering
growth from its customer base, ChemPoint
captures specific application data in (the
company’s) CRM, and a technically-trained
staff insures that an EPA-registered Dow
biocide is used appropriately.”
Mr. Konst added, “Their willingness and
ability to execute in synergy with Dow’s
objectives is unmatched in our traditional
distribution channels, thus making the
decision to move additional customer base
from the glutaraldehyde lines to them an
easy one.”
