Eastman's Site Offers

November 14, 2005

Eastman Chemical Company’s Glass Polymer website provides designers with a durable, lightweight and clear alternative to traditional glass as a packaging material, according to company executives. The site is visited by packaging engineers, company chief executive officers and presidents requesting samples for hands-on confirmation that the Glass Polymer resins look and feel like glass.

“While glass has, in the past, been the packaging choice for the marketing of luxury in the personal care and cosmetics markets, designers at leading brand owners like Victoria’s Secret and Merle Norman have chosen the Glass Polymer to develop luxurious custom packaging with the look and feel of glass,” said Burt Capel, market development manager. “Our glass polymers are easy to decorate and shatter resistant.”
