Clariant Masterbatches, Muttenz, Switz-erland, has developed a new e-business system to create cost and efficiency savings for customers, according to executives. The company has partnered with Accenture, Omnexus and Elemica to reduce the time needed to place or track an order in Europe, with roll-outs planned for North America and Asia next year.
“E-business has the potential to lower sourcing, purchasing and inventory costs by streamlining the processes involved,” said Dirk Eckert, e-business manager.
Executives said automation can enhance order response, reduce errors, provide reliable shipment information and improve order quality and delivery time, allowing executives to focus more on new product and business developments.
Clariant also recently joined forces with Omnexus to send information to 24,000 registered users who can search more than 8000 different resins. Thanks to Elemica, Clariant can also offer consumers a fully integrated, secure purchasing environment.
