November 14, 2005

Synthematix Inc., a provider of chemistry reaction planning tools for synthetic chemists, developed a new cutting-edge chemical structure/substructure search engine technology for Sigma-Aldrich’s e-commerce site.

Visitors can draw molecules, combine name fragments or physical properties and search for matches from more than 160,000 possible compounds, executives said.

“Synthematix’s technology offered the fastest search speed combined with all the functionality expected by our customers,” explained Brad Johnson, director of e-business, Sigma-Aldrich.
