Ciba won the iF communication design award 2007 for INMYX, an online magazine published on its www.xymara.com website. Ciba was presented with the award at a ceremony held in the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, Germany.
INMYX won in the category of screen design and was also chosen for the core “gold selection” for outstanding design achievement—given to 30 projects out of a total of 1,140.
The jury commented “This online magazine avoids gimmicks and focuses on the essentials: content and coloration. The clear structure and color coding make the website simple to use and informative. This is an esthetic site with class.”
INMYX, which is published 3-4 times a year, focuses purely on design. It features articles on designers, designs and design philosophies as well as in-depth analyses of trends, providing an overview of what’s new.
One of Europe’s prestigious design institutions, iF provides a communication network for people and institutions involved in design. Presented for the first time in 1953, the award is one of the oldest in the world. More info: for Ciba, www.xymara.com/inmyx and for iF, www.ifdesign.de.
