Comments: Combe says that it is present during people’s “most personal moments.” The company, which was founded in 1949, offers brands like Just for Men, which deals with unwanted gray hair, as well as products that are just for women, like Vagisil, its feminine hygiene line that now includes a new pH Wash.
Combe may be best known for helping adults, but the company has a history of coming to the aid of kids too. When the White Plains YMCA was no longer able to operate its summer day camp in Greenwich back in the late 1990s, Combe announced a gift of $300,000 to ensure that the organization could open a new camp at an abandoned location in Putnam Valley.
Combe, which continues to have an annual workday at the camp site, also supports capital improvements at the growing facility. The Putnam Valley/Camp Combe branch now serves the needs of more 500 children a day.
