Procedure::
Charge deionized water into mix tank and then add the remaining components in any order with mixing. pH may be adjusted higher with sodium hydroxide, or lower with citric acid. Viscosity may be increased with salt, or lowered by dilution with water.

Procedure::
Heat phase A in a batch container to 45°C, stirring well. Heat phase B to 75°C, mixing well. Mix first two ingredients of phase C until dissolved, then mix together and heat all ingredients of phase C to 75°C. Add the mixture of phase B to phase C. Add phase A to phase BC, stirring well. Add phase D to phase ABC.

Procedure::
Add Natrosol Plus 330 CS cetyl hydroxyethylcellulose to water under agitation. Raise pH to about 8.0-9.0. Mix for 45 minutes while maintaining the pH. Adjust the pH if necessary. Add Plantaren 2000, Cetiol LDO and Lamesoft PO-65 while mixing. Mix 10 minutes between each addition. Add sodium benzoate. Mix 10 minutes. Add citric acid to adjust pH to approximately 5.0. Mix for 15 minutes. Add AquaCat iC guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride and polyquaternium 7 and mix for 10 minutes. Adjust pH to approximately 5.

Procedure::
Phase A - In as suitable vessel, add and mix the ingredients of phase A in the order listed and mix until uniform. Phase B - In a separate vessel mix the ingredients of phase B and heat to 45-50°C until benzophenone-3 is dissolved. Cool phase B to 25°C. Sprinkle Pemulen TR-2 Polymer into phase B. Mix until polymer is dispersed in oil. Slowly add phase B to phase A with vigorous agitation (2,500 rpm for 20 min). Neutralize batch with triethanolamine (99%) and mix until uniform. Add aloe extract and fragrance to batch. Mix until uniform.

Appearance—White liquid; pH—6.5–7.0; Viscosity (mPa·s) (Brookfield DV-11+Pro @ 20 rpm, #3 spindle, measured after 24 hours)—2,200 – 3,200; SPF (SPF and UVA SPF determined by In Vitro testing using the Labsphere® UV-1000 UV Analyzer) Static—24; Stability—Passed 3 months @ 45°C, 4 cycles freeze/thaw.

Procedure::
Heat phase A to approximately 80°C. Add phase B and grind the pigment. Add phase C (80°C or room temperature) slowly while stirring. Homogenize for a short time. Cool with gentle stirring below 30°C and homogenize again.

Procedure::
In main vessel, combine phase A and start mixing. Heat to 75°C and then add phase B sequentially to phase A, in order. When uniform add phase C sequentially and slowly to phase AB. When a uniform dispersion, start cooling and at 50°C add phase D sequentially and slowly to phase ABC. Stop mixing when uniform and at 40°C, perform quality assurance tests and package product.

Comments::
Opaque firm solid with characteristic odor.
