PROCEDURE:

Add components of phase D separately with gentle mixing at temperatures <40C to main batch. Mix until uniform.

PROCEDURE:
Blend all phase A raw materials together and heat to 40°C with agitation until Sylvasol 200 is fully blended in (15 minutes). Remove from heat and add phase B fragrance. Mix until uniform.

PROCEDURE:
Charge water and Miracare SLB-365 into main vessel and mix until uniform. In a separate vessel, blend oil, Ionol CP, Jaguar C17, Parsol MCX and fragrance until uniform. Increase the mixing rate of the main vessel to 300 rpm. Charge premix in main vessel. (5 min at 300rpm & 10 min at 150 rpm). Charge sodium benzoate and sodium chloride into main vessel and mix until uniform (about 15 min). Adjust pH of the system to 4.5-5.0 with citric acid and mix for 60 Min.

PROPERTIES:
Appearance—White “lotion-like” solution; Brookfield Viscosity at 25°C—Up to 10 000 mPa.s (RVT, spindle 4, 10 rpm); pH @ 25°C—4.5 to 5.0; Storage-Stability—Stable for 3 months (Freeze/Thaw; 45°C; 4°C).

PROCEDURE:
In main beaker, add deionized water, glycerin, and Euxyl PE 9010. Mix on Silverson homogenizer at low to moderate speed (2000-3000 rpm) and begin heating to 75-80°C. Sprinkle in Structure CEL 4400E and homogenize at low to moderate speed (2000-3000 rpm) until fully hydrated. In a side beaker, add phase B ingredients and mix on propeller @ 300 rpm. Heat to 75-80°C. Once phase A and phase B reach desired temperature, add Phase B to phase A with homogenization at 4000 rpm. Mix for 10 minutes, then begin cooling to 65°C. When batch reaches 60-65°C, sprinkle in Carbopol and homogenize at 4000 rpm for 10 minutes until hydrated. Continue batch mixing at 4000 rpm and pre-mix Phase D. Add to main batch after Phase C has mixed and fully hydrated for 10 minutes. Cool batch to 45°C. Continue batch mixing at 4000 rpm. Once phase D is fully dissolved, add phase E and mix until dispersed and uniform. Switch batch to overhead sweep mix blade at low speed (20 rpm) and cool to 25°C.

PROPERTIES:
pH—6.90-7.40; Appearance—white cream; Viscosity 16000-24000 cps (Brookfield RVT, Spindle C, Speed 10, 1 minute).

PROCEDURE:
Add Syntran PC 5620 to batch tank. With constant agitation, slowly add 28% ammonium hydroxide. In a separate vessel, premix phase B with appropriate agitation. Slowly add phase B to phase A with constant agitation. Stir for 30 minutes and avoid aeration. Separately prepare a 12.5% wt/wt aqueous solution of Laponite XLS. Stir until clear and fully hydrated. Add phase C to batch and stir for 15 minutes. Add phase D to batch and stir with appropriate agitation to disperse pigment.

PROPERTIES:
pH—7.8-8.6; Solids—46-48%.
