Procedure:
Weigh deionized water in vessel large enough to provide adequate mixing. Water temperature should be 25-40°C. Sprinkle Carbopol Ultrez 21 into deionized water and allow to wet out. Gently mix for 10-20 minutes. Slowly add Fixate G-100 to vessel. Mix for approx. 5 minutes. Slowly add the Fixate PLUS to vessel. Mix for approx. 5 minutes. Slowly add ingredients 5 through 8 to vessel. Mix well after the addition of each ingredient. Neutralize to pH 6.8-7.2 using TEA. Scrape sides of the vessel to incorporate all ingredients, assuring homogeneity. Mix until uniform before packaging.

Procedure:
In an appropriate sized vessel, weigh out the water and the Carbopol Ultrez-21. Allow the Carbopol Ultrez-21 to completely hydrate without mixing. Once the hydration is completed, begin mixing the batch. Add the Drieline, MDI Complex, alpha-Bisabolol, Wacker Belsil DMC6031, VitaCon AEM, SilSense A-23 and Merguard 1190 while mixing the batch. Continue mixing until uniform. In a separate vessel, prepare the sunscreen pre-blend by combining the SD 40B Alcohol, Hallbrite OS, EI OMC, Benzophenone-3, Floramac 10 and Fragrance. Mix this pre-blend until all of the Benzophenone-3 has dissolved and the blend is uniform. Add the sunscreen pre-blend to the batch with mixing. Mix the batch until it is uniform. Add the TEA to the batch with mixing. Once the batch is uniform, add the Merquat 3330 and mix the batch until uniform.

Disperse Carbolpol ETD 2020 in phase A. Adjust the pH at approx. 5.5-6.0 with phase B. Add ingredients of phase C one after the other while stirring. Add phase D while stirring. Finally, add ingredients of phase E one after the other while stirring and mix to obtain a homogeneous gel.

Place water into main vessel and begin heating to 80°C. Dust in carbomer mix until hydrated. Pre-mix phase B and heat to 80°C. Add phase B to phase A, then add phase C. Allow emulsion to cool to room temperature. Add phase D, individually with mixing. Adjust pH to 6.0, if necessary.

Viscosity: 16,700 cps ± 10%
(RVT Spindle # TC@ 10 rpm, 25°C).

Procedure:
Heat phase A to 80-85°C and stir homogeneously. Heat phase B to 80-85°C and add to the oil phase while stirring. Allow the emulsion to cool while stirring in such a way that it remains in continual motion. Avoid incorporation of air. Add the components of phase C at 40°C. Add the components of phase C if available at 40°C. If necessary adjust the pH value. Stir while cooling to 30°C.
