Procedure::
Phase A: Disperse Natrosol Plus CS 330 and glycerin in water. Mix until Natrosol Plus is fully dispersed (Note: Heating to 60-65°C will speed up hydration process. If heat is used, once Natrosol  Plus is fully hydrated, remove batch from heat and continue adding ingredients while batch cools.) Add Carbopol* Aqua CC Polymer to phase A.  Mix until uniform.     Add glycolic acid to batch. Mix until uniform. As batch begins to thicken, increase speed to maintain a good vortex. Add polyethylene to batch. Mix until uniform. Once  batch has cooled to ~ 25 °C (if heat was used), add phase  C ingredients one at a time with good mixing in between additions. Mix until uniform. Adjust deionized water for any water loss. (If heat was used in processing).

In a third vessel premix F and add to DE just prior to combining phases. When ABC and DEF are uniform and at the defined temperatures, add ABC to DEF with strong mixing without aeration. After 10 minutes, start homogenizing and start cooling. When the batch is at 55°C, stop homogenizing and resume sweep mixing. When the batch is at 50°C add G. In a separate vessel combine H and, when uniform, add to ABCDEFG. When the batch is uniform add I. Continue stirring until a smooth, homogeneous lotion and pe form final quality assurance checks.
