Momentive Introduces Velvesil FX Gel for Personal Care Products

Combines expertise in silicones and boron nitride chemistries

Momentive Performance Materials launched Velvesil FX gel that is said to enhance the benefits of boron nitride powder by improving its processibility and spreadability as well as the sensory experience of the consumer product.
 
According to Momentive, formulators of color cosmetics and skin products may find Velvesil FX gel useful for optimization of the combined performance benefits of boron nitride (excellent coverage, naturalness, line-blurring effects and oil absorption) with the outstanding sensory attributes of silicones (soft, smooth feel and gentle application). Additionally, Velvesil FX gel may streamline production by providing excellent dispersion of boron nitride, with virtually no dusting.
