Latin American Online Retailers Record Seasonal Gains for 2008
ComScore, Inc., a company that reports on trends in the digital world, recently released its December rankings of the largest and fastest-growing internet properties and site categories in the Latin American region. The rankings are based on data from the ComScore World Metrix audience measurement service.
The onset of the Christmas shopping season brought increased traffic to online retail sites, with the flowers/gifts/greetings category experiencing the strongest growth, followed by the fragrances/cos-metics, sports/outdoor, toys and luxury goods/accessories categories.
Fagrances and cosmetics rose 55% to 2,553 unique visitors for Latin America, age 15 and over, from home and work locations excluding traffic from public computers such as Internet cafes or access from mobile phones.
