The Sun Products Corporation named Jeffrey Ansell as chairman of the board

The Sun Products Corporation: named Jeffrey Ansell, currently president and CEO, as chairman of the board, succeeding Neil P. DeFeo who is stepping down as chairman but will remain on the board as a non-executive director.

Ansell, who joined Sun Products in 2011 as president and CEO and will continue in these roles, redefined the company’s strategy, created a more robust foundation upon which Sun Products can flourish, and strengthened the brand portfolio through innovation, the company said. He most recently served for three years as CEO and member of the board of directors of Pinnacle Foods Group. Prior to that post, he was a corporate officer at Procter & Gamble, where he worked for 25 years, including seven years as president of Iams Pet Care.

Sun Products also named Al Drewes as executive vice president and CFO. Drewes, who most recently was with Pepsi Bottling Group, will be responsible for all aspects of financial planning and accounting, tax, audit, treasury as well as IT, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions for the company. In his most recent position as SVP and CFO at Pepsi Bottling Group Inc., Drewes was responsible for the treasury, investor relations, tax, planning, accounting, and mergers and acquisitions functions.
