Hair Treatment Patented by Kao

US Patent No. 8,158,112 B2; Kao, Tokyo, has patented a hair treatment method. It entails preparing a hair cosmetic by mixing a first agent comprising an alkali agent and a second agent comprising hydrogen peroxide to form a mixed liquid; discharging said mixed liquid in the form of a foam from a foamer vessel without a propellant; applying said mixed liquid to hair; allowing said mixed liquid to stand for 3 to 60 minutes; and rinsing said mixed liquid away. At least one of said first agent and said second agent comprises a surfactant.

The hair cosmetic is selected from the group consisting of a two agent hair bleach or a two agent dye, and wherein said mixed liquid has a viscosity of 1 to 300 mPa·s at 25°C. and a pH of 8 to 11.
