BRAZIL: To sustain its growth and development strategy, Silab has opened Silab South America, in São Paulo, Brazil.

The unit will be dedicated to the promotion of the company’s natural cosmetic active ingredients towards all direct customers and to the management of distributors for the whole South American territory, Silab said in a press statement.

Francisco Santin De Souza will be in charge of running this new structure. Formerly technology and innovation manager for Cosmotec, an exclusive Silab distributor in Brazil, he is also pharmacist and has been involved in the Brazilian cosmetic industry for the past 10 years.

As the leader of South American cosmetic markets, Brazil has been naturally chosen by Silab to establish its office. Moreover, Silab and its distributor Cosmotec have been working closely since the beginning of their business relationship, reinforcing their links for this new step.

This new unit, as well as those that already exist in the US (Silab Inc.), in South Korea (Silab South Korea) and in China (Silab China), fall under the responsibility of Jean-Philippe Cosson, marketing and sales director of Silab.

In other news, Silab’s CEO and founder Jean Pauifque has recently nominated Brigitte Closs-Gonthier as R&D chief officer and has hired Xavier Gaillard, as strategy chief officer.
