Chanel and L’Oréal Patent Mascaras

US Patent No. 8,211,416 B2; Chanel Parfums Beaute, Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, has patented a mascara composition that is comprised of a cosmetically acceptable aqueous medium and an oily phase. The oily phase is comprised of at least one ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer and at least one wax or a mixture of waxes. The weight ratio of the ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer to the wax or mixture of waxes is between 1:55 and 1:9.
