Colonial Candle is ready to open a unique retail shop that will not only claim valuable real estate alongside world-renowned luxury brands like Gucci and Louis Vuitton, it will provide the premium candle maker with a hot commodity: immediate feedback from consumers.
Scheduled to open in early Fall, the 3,000-sq.ft. flagship store in Charleston will be a “fresh, futuristic space where fragrance and consumer research take center stage,” according to the company, which is part of Midwest-CBK, a business Blyth sold to MVP Group last year.
Since the purchase closed in May 2012, MVP has been refreshing the 103-year-old company, and in many ways, this new retail initiative marks a re-ignition of the Colonial Candle bay.
“We felt that with Colonial Candle’s recent branding relaunch, it was the perfect time to open our flagship boutique,” Beth Sturm, Colonial Candle director of brand development, told Happi.
