Ecolab Patents Hard Surface Cleaner

US Patent No. 8,299,009 B2; Ecolab USA has patented hard surface cleaning composition comprising at 18% actives: betaine functionalized alkyl polyglucoside component derived from a renewable carbon source such as corn or coconut and consisting primarily of a C12 betaine functionalized alkyl polyglucoside, a C12 and C14 blend of a betaine functionalized alkyl polyglucoside or a C14 betaine functionalized alkyl polyglucoside which includes less than 0.5% by weight of a betaine functionalized alkyl polyglucoside with a carbon chain length of other than 12 or 14; a water conditioning agent including one or more of a polyvalent metal cation, calcium, a magnesium, iron, manganese, molybdenum, sodium tripolyphosphate, polyacrylic acid compounds, sodium gluconate, sodium glucoheptonate, N-hydroxyethylenediaminetriacetic acid (HEDTA), ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA), diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA), ethylenediaminetetraproprionic acid, triethylenetetraaminehexaacetic acid (TTHA), and the respective alkali metal, ammonium and substituted ammonium salts thereof, nitrilotriacetic acid trisodium salt (NTA), ethanoldiglycine disodium salt (EDG), diethanolglycine sodium-salt (DEG), and 1,3-propylenediaminetetraacetic acid (PDTA), dicarboxymethyl glutamic acid tetrasodium salt (GLDA), methylglycine-N-N-diacetic acid trisodium salt (MGDA), and iminodisuccinate sodium salt (IDS); an acid source; and water.
